NALSWD on YouTube!

NALSWD has launched its own video channel on YouTube: nalswdvideo. Subscribe to be alerted to new content!

With the generous sponsorship of Lewis, Feinberg, Lee, Renaker & Jackson, P.C., all panels and speeches at the 2011 NALSWD Conference were recorded on video and are being up-loaded to this channel. We hope that students who were not able to attend can still benefit from the vital information our many speakers provided!

Travel Stipends for Conference Available!

Funding to Attend the 2011 NALSWD Conference – Register Now!

Due to the generosity of our donors, we are pleased to be able to offer funding to make it possible for students who cannot otherwise secure funding to attend the conference!

Funding is limited to $300 per student maximum. These stipends can be used to cover economy airfare and/or up to $75 towards lodging (equivalent to 2 nights at a hostel, but can be applied towards hotel costs).

All travel stipends will be issued as reimbursements after the conference, so please save all receipts if you want to apply for funding. Travel costs paid by your school, vocational rehabilitation, or anyone other than the student attending cannot be reimbursed. Award of stipends will be at the discretion of the Executive Board, but we hope to use our funding to bring as many students as possible to the conference!

2011 NALSWD Conference Registration

NALSWD Conference at Golden Gate University, January 2011

NALSWD is very pleased to announce that our national conference is going to be held on the weekend of January 22-23rd in San Francisco at Golden Gate University School of Law,

We will need volunteers to prepare materials, order supplies, spread the word, and, of course, COME! Registration is free and we will be working very hard to make lodging options as affordable as possible. Plus, many law schools will reimburse for travel expenses, and we will coordinate with students to get them any necessary invitations or paperwork necessary to get approval from their school. The weekend will feature professional networking, panels from practitioners and experts about employment and school and bar accommodations, elections for the NALSWD Executive Board, and a ton of fun time with other law students with disabilities from around the country.
